A Tale Of Two Masters. Part 4

Words In Season:
"If the followership is misguided and malfunctional, check the leadership"

Bearing:
"And, ye masters, do the same things unto them, forbearing threatening: knowing that your Master also is in heaven; neither is there respect of persons with him"
✝ Ephesians 6:9

Bottomline:
Seeking first The Kingdom of God is a progression of continous actions and steps. To enter the kingdom, the Master said, except a man be born of water and Spirit, he cannot enter the Kingdom of God. To enter the Kingdom after seeing it, one must be born of water and Spirit. But to first have a glipse of God's Kingdom before entering, Jesus said a man must of a must be born again. John 3:7
To be born again means to be changed and turned into another man from whom you used to be before. I Samuel 10:6
Before anything in skirt and blouse goes but your faithful with chaste fidelity to your wife. Before your constant daily routine is looking for other's trouble but now you live at peace with all and sundry. But the good news about it is can't be done in human strenght.
All that is required is willingness and child like faith on your part to repent and believe. And The Spirit of God facilitates the rest. Check that passage in I Samuel 10:6 again.
It is a work of inner rebirth. And The Facilitator is The Spirit of The Living God. When a man on his part from his heart decides to change his ways, turn back from sin and turn to God, God on His part set in motion a process of rebirth from inside the man by changing his heart to a new heart. It is a change from inside out.
It is called a new creation experience, the manifestation of which is a radical change in character, behavior and attitude to God, to ones fellowmen and to life in general. Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature, old things are passed away, behold all things are become new. II Corinthians 5:17. The next thing is to be born of water and Spirit to enter the Kingdom proper. Some said being born of water is water baptism, yes I agree with them but it still goes beyond that. Because I agree with them, let us briefly examine water baptism as a mystery on its own. It is not just a mere immersion in water and being brought out with wet clothes. It is a separation between the old and the new. And the difference is clear as dark night time and day light.
As you are immersed in water, you are being buried with Christ, and you are brought out, you are being resurrected with him into a newness of life. And just as it took water to separate men and disembody demons from them in the days of Noah when men corrupted themselves with angelic so does God still use water separate a man from demons at water baptism including even this god of money called mammon no matter how intense his influence is. When our spiritual father Reverend Paul Jinadu of New Covenant Church explained this mystery of water baptism in a meeting, it looks like a child play to me; but later I agree with him, that it is a matter of understanding and faith on the part of the believer who is being baptized, that the old is being separated from the new, both physically and spiritually by immersion in water and being brought out again as new man with a new life in baptism.
Of course our present day deliverance ministers may have none of these with their "captives" How can a man be separated from demons just like that without ground shaking prayers plus hand kicks and leg kicks; and ‘outpatient’ visitations that may last weeks maybe months, depending on what is written on the "outpatient card"? Another one in Bodija axis of Ibadan even refered to his own as "clients" But as Pastor E.A. Adeboye prayed in one of his Holy Ghost Services in Redemption Camp in 1998, "may God deliver us from deliverance ministers" And we all said Amen! But according to each ones faith, let it be done unto him or her.
So at immersion in water and being baptized unto Christ, we are now close to entering the Kingdom now, which Jesus commanded us to seek first and all these things shall be added unto us. This also brings us under the leadership of a brand new Master. A good Master at that.
And This New Master said a servant cannot serve two Masters! He must choose and cleave to one and discard the other. You must either love One and despise the other. But we can only advice you not to choose a tyrant and oppressor but make a wise choice of a good, faithful, loving and kind One as Master.
Therefore choose ye today whom ye shall serve.
