In Everything, God Set Borderlines

God sets a boundary in everything. Moderation.
Words In Season:

Not in food only does God set a boundary, He sets a boundary in everything.

                 Random musings.

"Let your moderation be known unto all men, The Lord is at hand"
        Phillipians 4:5

Of every tree of the garden thou mayest freely eat. God commanded Adam and Eve in Genesis 2:16.
For them not to eat as commanded may amount to disobedience. God commanded Peter "...arise kill and eat..."
To now anathemise food as the great undoing of man is to play holier than God.
Jesus perceived that the multitude may faint on their way going back home after a teaching session in the wilderness and organised something to feed 5000 of them excluding women and children before sending them home. Even if it has to take a miracle of multiplying 5 loaves and 2 fishes. And Jesus never performs a miracle for the sake of it. A necessity must warrant it.
Food items was among several other items God commanded Noah to take along to the Ark. To sustain him and his zoological guests in the ark.
So when did eating become a sin or man's undoing?
Yet God set a boundary for Adam and Even regarding what not to eat in that same garden. That man now eat what he is forbidden to eat in the garden of Eden does not mean we should generalise eating as sin. If a man drives recklessly and had an accident, do we now generalise driving as a crime? No.
Same way must we not generalise eating as a sin just as we cannot generalise driving as a crime. But like driving recklessly becomes a crime, when one eats recklessly like Adam and Even or Esau, it becomes a sin.
Finally brethren, as a must, we should understand that it not only in eating that God sets a boundary of discipline and moderation but in everything in life. Driving, speaking, lovemaking, work, how we spend our money and resources just name any human activity on earth. God expects moderation from us. Even in sleeping, The Bible sets a boundary, lest we come to want.
Let your moderation be known unto all men.
God's ways are so marvelous. But the saved, and redeemed of The Lord, He shows and reveals them. Surrender your life to  Jesus today, and let Him teach you His ways.
